C9 Petroleum Resin

Carbon 9 petroleum resin is a thermoplastic resin produced from C9 fractions by-product of petroleum cracking, through pre-treatment, polymerization, distillation and other processes, it is not a polymer, but an oligomer with molecular weight between 300-3000. Petroleum resins are named after petroleum derivatives. They have low acid value, good miscibility, resistance to water, ethanol, and chemicals, are chemically stable to acids and alkalis, and have good viscosity regulation and thermal stability. Petroleum resins are generally not used alone, but are used as accelerators, conditioners, modifiers and other resins.
